What would you change in the content of the course?

-I would like to see in lectures more pictures, schemas and other graphical information. Because it is easily for understanding of material of the lectures.

-I would like to see more screenshots in lecture material. Because I think that graphical information is most accessible.

-I would have liked to see the devices in real or at least many pictures or some kind of presentation of using those.

-As I can see, this course is preparation to the programming course. Thus, it can be useful to add more info about mobile os’s structure.

-I think it will be useful to give more technical details of devices presented in course.

-In my view it will be better if we have more open discussions.

-More deeper information about technologies, which discussed in the course.

-I’d like to hear more technical issues in the context of described services (mobile services).

-More examples

-Maybe, I would increase technical side of problem.

-Some additional illustrative example would help to relate the theory of real life.

-I would like to hear some more information about mobile devices their types, possibilities and technologies used nowadays in the mobile environment.

-I think the content of the course is enough, but we hade spent more time on technologies that are developing now. And one more thing, it would be better to have some kind of guided exercises.

-Voitaisiin edetä hieman nopeammin

-Maybe more some technical stuff. On the other hand this is Mobile Information Devices so the main idea must be in the presentations of mobile devices.

Good things in teaching:

-Easy to follow

-I like when lecturer shows presentation, not just speak. It is easier to accept the material when there are some words before my eyes. I have learned very much about new mobile technologies.

-Easy, understandable English

-Highlights og modern technologies and devices

-Pace was good and the lecturer knew the area well enough to give good answers and get some discussion going. Gave new ideas and perspectives on the mobile field.

-All of the students made presentations

-Many examples

-Discussions on the lecture

-Good explanation of material

-Slides are quite good and English talking is slowly and clearly.

-I liked that you can say your opinion or any ideas. I mean it was like some sort of conversation.

-I like that teacher can answer almost any question. It means a strong knowledge of the subject.

-Detailed description of operating systems used in mobile devices.

-Rather high level of interactivity between students and teacher.

-Good is to show and explain things also on black board, better than only then powerpoint-slides “a picture tells more than a thousand wors”.

-Everything seems OK

-This course was easy for me, because the teacher gave the material of the course understandable.

-Network support of mobility, Ad hoc networks, because we have good examples and discuss the material

Bad things in teaching:

-I could not find any bad things ;)

-The presentation were rough similar because of small are of mobile devices usage, maybe because lack in imagination of course participants.

-I can’t tell anything

-Some technical details, such as PALM application management were examined in too detail. It was not really that bad, but made some lectures a bit slow.

-Lack of some illustrative material.

Is there anything else that you would like to say to the lecturer?

-Pretty satisfied to the course, but I think that mobile devices aren’t my cup of tea. I prefer other datacommunicationareas

-Good starter course for getting to know the mobile field.

-I liked the course, thanks.

-I’m very satisfied that got knew knowledge about mobile technologies. Thank you.

-Well about this WinCE once again. I believe that most of the course listeners have written at least several Win32 applications. Thus it can be useful to show difference between EPOC & WinCE (much like Win32) programming. And at least: Kiitos, the course was really interesting.

-I think that course met with it’s purposes quite well.
