Registration for the Conferment of Degrees Ceremony
In the Conferment of Degrees Ceremony, the new Masters and Doctors will be given their degree in the ceremonial act of conferment, and will receive a Master’s laurel wreath and ring or a Doctor’s hat and sword as the sign of it.

Cancellation terms and conditions
Registration for the Conferment of Degrees Ceremony is binding. Cancellation of participation and refund of the participation fee is only possible for very compelling reasons (e.g., health-related reasons proven by a medical certificate).
Cancellations and requests for refunds, including justification, must be sent by email to promootio@jyu.fi no later than April 1, 2026. When sending health information or other sensitive information, we recommend using the university's secure email. A processing fee of €50 will be deducted from the refundable amount. Requests for refunds of participation fees received after April 1, 2026, will not be considered.
Details of the programme will be finalized during the spring.

1.00 p.m. – approximately 3.00 p.m. Rehearsal for the Act of Conferment, Main Building of the University of Jyväskylä
Participation in the rehearsals is mandatory for all promovendi, as the rehearsals cover topics such as the order of processions, entrance, seating arrangements at the ceremony, the course of the ceremony, and procedures.
