A parrot Uno Cygnaeus brought back from his trip to Alaska. The parrot is from Brazil and was probably purchased in Rio de Janeiro, where the travellers made a stop in December 1839. During his stay in Sitka Cygnaeus mounted birds in his leisure time. He was particularly fond of hummingbirds, and sent hundreds of them to Finland, as well.
