Year after year the Department of Biological and Environmental Science welcomes an increasingly large and diverse group of international students and researchers to its community. Welcome to be a part of our vibrant community!
The Department is one of the largests at the University of Jyväskylä with almost 700 students, of whom 80 are international students. The Department supports degree-seeking students for the Bachelor studies, Masters studies and PhD degrees as well as international exchange students.
Studies in the Department of Biological and Environmental Science are characteristically multidisciplinary, the main focus being on Ecology and evolutionary biology, Aquatic sciences, Environmental science and technology as well as on modern Cell and molecular biology.
