International Master's Degree Programmes in the Faculty of Education and Psychology

University of Jyväskylä, Faculty of Education and Psychology offers an international Master's Degree Programme in Educational Sciences. This two-year programme of 120 ECTS credits is starting in September 2018. Eligible applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Education or in a relevant field, proven proficiency in English and high motivation.

Application period November 15, 2017 - January 10, 2018.

Master's Degree Programme in Educational Sciences

  • Students graduating from the programme will be well-prepared to work in a variety of educational settings, for example, as educational consultants, coordinators, teacher educators, researchers or educational planners. Read more...
  • Students have a possibility to choose their specialisation form the six modules: Educational Leadership, Early Childhood Studies, Inclusive Education, Guidance and Counselling, Foreign Language Pedagogy, or Current Issues in Education and Psychology.

Master's Degree Programme in Educational Leadership (new students are not selected in 2018)

  • Master’s Degree Programme in Educational Leadership is no longer accepting new students.
  • The contents of the programme have been included in the Master’s Degree Programme in Educational Sciences where the students have a possibility to choose Educational Leadership as their Specialisation along with five other possibilities, Early Childhood Studies, Inclusive Education, Foreign Language Pedagogy, Guidance and Counselling, or Current Issues in Education and Psychology. Master’s Degree Programme in Development and International Cooperation (new students are not selected in 2018)

  • A multidisciplinary programme in development and international co-operation with either education, social sciences or environmental science as a major subject.
  • The programme seeks to provide graduates with intellectual tools and practical skills required to function creatively and effectively in the world of development – be this as a researcher, manager, practitioner or activist. Read more...
