Researchers’ Night programme is free and open to all.

Welcome to European Researchers' Night on 30 September 2016!

The event takes place from the morning till midnight.
The European Researchers’ Night is held at the same time in around 300 cities across Europe on the last Friday of September (30 Sep 2016). The event takes place from morning till midnight.

This year it is possible to participate in the event in thirteen locations in Finland. Over the course of the event, children, adolescents, adults, and older people can get to know more about science through workshops, research meetings, lectures and laboratory visits.

The theme of the European Researchers' Night 2016 is Change. - European Researchers' Night 2016
In Jyväskylä you can see, for example, cheating animals in the Natural History Museum.
Wonders of physics such as low temperature physics and nanoparticles become familiar in Ylistönrinne.
You can also find out how the methods of nuclear physics can be utilised, for example, to reveal art forgery.
In the chemistry laboratory schoolchildren can solve CSI crime scene investigations. And there’s a lot more!
