STIMEY Festival

Welcome aboard to learn about interesting STEM-subjects to STIMEY Festival! The idea behind STIMEY is to get kids exited about STEM-subjects (natural sciences, technology and mathematics) with a new kind of learning environment which combines robotics, a social online platform, radio and teaching games. The workshops will include robots, physics simulations and other stimulating instruments to learn about STEM-subjects. There will be two workshops for one class of students, duration 90 minutes. Department of Health Sciences, Gerontology Research Center: Am I ageing actively?

Researchers will talk about the latest knowledge about ageing actively and related factors. Researchers will test how actively the audience is ageing. There will be brief health lectures (in Finnish) on the hour from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with a chance to ask questions from the health experts. Those who wish can take part in physical performance tests such as grip strength or complete some of the key cognitive tests used to assess cognitive capability. Information about social and physical activities for older citizens. Coffee service.
