Degree Structure

Students in the Nuclear and Particle Physics Master's Degree Programme take basic courses in nuclear physics and particle physics during the first autumn term. After that you can, depending on your interests and skills, choose to complete your master's studies with different profiles, specializing in experimental or theoretical nuclear physics or in experimental or theoretical particle physics. You can concentrate on theoretical physics or take courses devoted to various experimental techniques. For completing your master’s thesis during your second year of studies you will perform a research project in one of the research groups of the Department of Physics active in those fields. The programme provides you with training and skills suitable for a wide range of professional careers, including that of an academic researcher. More information of the curriculum.
