Instructions for presenters

Papers

    • The time reserved for one paper presentation is 30 minutes (20 min presentation and 10 min discussion). There will be 3 presentations in each session. The session chairs will make sure you finish on time.
    • Each session room will be equipped with a computer with Internet access and a data projector.
    • If you wish to use other AV equipment, please inform the conference office about this by June 12.
    • Please bring your presentation on a USB flash drive. To minimise technical difficulties, we request all presenters to save their work as a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, PDF file or in a compatible format. You can also have the presentation online on e.g. www.prezi.com.
    • A conference assistant will be available to assist you in uploading your presentation in the conference room. You can also ask for help at the conference registration desk. Preferable times for presenters to load their files are during coffee-breaks and lunch, so the actual session time can be used effectively for presentations. The conference assistant will come to the conference room 15 minutes before the session.
    • Handouts are not required, but some find them helpful. Please notice that free copying services are not available.

Posters

    • The maximum size of a poster is A0 (it can, of course, be smaller).
    • If you wish, you can make handouts of your poster.
    • The poster will be hung on a stand, and there will be a small pocket or folder for the handouts as well.
    • Bring your poster on Tuesday 21 June at 13.00 at the latest. You can also bring it earlier whenever during the conference. Ask the Registration Desk for help with hanging the poster.
    • The poster can be on display during the whole conference but you can take it down after the poster session if you like.
    • In the poster session, be prepared to present your poster for 5 minutes. After everyone with a poster has given their speech there will be time for questions and discussion.
