We invite you to join us at the 18th International Symposium on Small Particles and Inorganic Clusters (ISSPIC-XVIII) to be held on August 14-19, 2016 in Jyväskylä, Finland. The conference starts by reception on Sunday evening August 14th and ends by 1 pm on Friday August 19th.

Please download the conference poster HERE.

The ISSPIC conference started as an international symposium on small particles and inorganic clusters in 1976 and has evolved into a leading international cluster and nanoscience conference. The symposia topics present a balanced overview of new results, emerging trends and perspectives in the science of atomic and molecular clusters, nanoparticles and nanostructures. The conference provides an interdisciplinary forum for presentation and discussion of fundamental and technological developments in these fields. It is expected that the interdisciplinary approach will stimulate the emergence of new research topics, enabling innovative applications of nanoscience.

NOTE: Special to this year: A 20-hour course on "The Science of Atomic Clusters" will be organized in-co-operation with the 26th International Jyväskylä Summer School on August 8-12, 2016 (the week preceding ISSPIC XVIII). The course is lectured jointly by prof. Henrik Grönbeck (Chalmers, Sweden) and prof. Hannu Häkkinen (Jyväskylä). The course is intended for advanced Masters and starting PhD students and the students who pass the course will be credited by 3 ECTS points towards studies in their home institutions (in the European credit system). For more information about the course and the Summer School, please visit the website https://www.jyu.fi/science/muut_yksikot/summerschool/en.
