The city of Jyväskylä is located in the lake district of Central Finland. Jyväskylä´s population growth rate is one of the highest in Finland. With the population of 136 000, City of Jyväskylä is the seventh largest city in Finland. Jyväskylä region is easily reached by land and air: the distance of 270 kilometres from Helsinki takes only 35 minutes by plane and some 3 hours by car or by rail. Jyväskylä is known for example from the architecture of Alvar Aalto, education, sports as well as cultural activites and events. Jyväskylä is also the second most important fair city in Finland. Very close to the city centre opens a view to the Jyväsjärvi lake which is connected to Päijänne, the second biggest lake in Finland. Around Jyväskylä there is a lot of nature to experience and many possibilities for recreation in outdoors.


Congress Centre Paviljonki

ISSPIC XVIII takes place in the congress and trade fair centre Jyväskylä Paviljonki conveniently located right next to the city centre, railway station, harbor and within walking distance from most of the hotels.

Paviljonki is a modern, first-rate congress centre providing facilities and services for trade fairs, meetings and conferences. 20 000 m2 of exhibition space can be modified to meet the requirements of diverse company events, exhibitions and other large-scale events. Modern technology is the key to implementing technically demanding events. Paviljonki has several lecture and meeting rooms seating 10 to 160 persons. Our speciality is the unique, flexible auditorium with 1200 seats.
