Abstracts

The abstract submission is now open!

We welcome abstracts for paper or poster presentations. The maximum length of the abstract is 300 words, excluding references. Talks are organized in 30 minute slots that include discussion time (i.e. 20 + 10 minutes). Posters will be put up on the first day of the conference and remain up for the duration of the conference.

The abstracts for both paper and poster presentations are submitted via the electronic abstract submission system.

All abstracts will be subject to double-blind peer review by the Scientific Committee. The deadline for abstract submission is 5 November 2018. Notification of acceptance will be given by 10 December 2018.

Instructions for submitting the abstract

When entering the online submission system, you should first request an ID for your abstract. This is done by clicking the appropriate link, after which you are requested to provide an e-mail address and a password of your own choice. After submitting the required information, you will get a confirmation message into your e-mail address containing the abstract ID.

When you have acquired an ID for your abstract, you can enter the submission system and provide the following information:

  • name(s) of the presenter(s)
  • contact information and affiliation of the presenter(s) (remember to indicate the first presenter)
  • title of the presentation
  • abstract text
  • references, and
  • 3-5 key words.

You are also asked to choose two thematic strands to which your topic is related. This information will be used in planning the conference program.

You may modify and edit your abstract by logging into the system with the abstract ID. The editing function is however only possible until the abstract has been submitted. Once submitted, the abstract cannot be edited.

Please note also that you need to save and preview the abstract before you submit it, as you will not be able to edit it after the submission has been completed. Therefore, please make sure that the abstract text and all relevant information is correct and publishable before you submit the proposal. Note that the save-and-preview function can be slow, and if it does not seem to work, close the window and try again.
