Pedagogical Friday (PEPE) session: Do you take care of your wellbeing?

On 14 December, you will get help and means for how to use mindfulness in taking care of your own wellbeing and for coping with stress. Come and give a Christmas present to yourself! Teachers, students and everybody in the JYU community are warmly welcome!

Take a breath – mind your own wellbeing

Do you wish to reduce your mental load and distracting stimuli? Mindfulness and breathing exercises are a well-studied and effective way of coping with stress. During the afternoon we will learn more about mindfulness through both theory and practical exercises. 

Our visiting expert is MA (Educ.) Kaisa Peltonen, a JYU alumna, the founder of Studio Laive and a yoga and mindfulness instructor.

This PEPE session is part of the OHO! development project (for promoting learning capacity, wellbeing and involvement in higher education) funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture.

What is PEPE? Once a month, on Fridays at 1 p.m.–2.30 p.m. we gather to have coffee and discuss about teaching development issues units find important. The PEPE host responsibility is distributed among units and the Student Union. Teachers, students and all who are interested in teaching development are warmly welcome!
