The 27th Jyväskylä International Summer School in Finland

The Faculty of Mathematics and Science and the Faculty of Information Technology from the University of Jyväskylä organize the annual International Summer School. As one of the largest and oldest multidisciplinary summer schools in Finland the 27th Summer School will be organized 7th - 18th August 2017 at Mattilanniemi and Ylistönrinne campuses. It provides students with an excellent opportunity to participate in a large number of courses and enjoy high quality teaching by respected researchers from all over the world. The Summer School offers courses for advanced Master’s students, PhD students, and post-docs in various fields of science and information technology. The language of instruction is English in all courses.

For years the Summer School has retained its place as an important international meeting place for young experts of natural sciences and information technology. The Summer School courses are lectured by top experts in their own research fields and also offers an excellent way to develop international researcher co-operation.

The Summer School will be more than just taking a course and offers students an unique academic, cultural, and personal journey and gives students the opportunity to challenge theirself, develop their skills and pushes students forward towards a successful career in your field of interest. It also gives students the chance to spend a time in an international science community. Finnish nature and culture are well presented in the social program of the Summer School. Among the social activities there are, for example, canoeing, sauna evenings and day hike in national park.
