Writing successful ERC applications

The European Research Council (ERC) mission is to encourage the highest quality research in Europe through competitive funding and to support investigator-driven frontier research across all fields, on the basis of scientific excellence.

ERC grants are awarded through open competition to projects headed by starting and established researchers, irrespective of their origins, who are working or moving to work in Europe. The sole criterion for selection is scientific excellence. The aim here is to recognise the best ideas, and confer status and visibility on the best brains in Europe.

University of Jyväskylä has been successful in applying ERC.

The whole day training is aimed for applicants of University of Jyväskylä. The trainer is Lotte Jaspers from Yellow Research.

Upcoming calls:

  • ERC Advanced Grants (AdG) 2018, deadline 30.8.2018
  • ERC Starting Grants (StG) 2019, deadline expected to be in October 2018
  • ERC Consolidator Grants (CoG) 2019, deadline expected to be in February 2019.

Check the programme for the training and register at Korppi.

If you are not yet working in University of Jyväskylä (JYU) but would like to apply ERC for JYU and want to participate in the training, please, contact Research and Innovation Services.
