University of Jyväskylä has decided to launch a preliminary inquiry into Laura Huhtasaari’s master’s thesis

On 15 May 2018, the University of Jyväskylä has decided to launch a preliminary inquiry into Laura Huhtasaari’s master’s thesis “Kulttuuriset käytännöt monikulttuurisessa perusopetusryhmässä” (Cultural Practices in Multicultural Basic Education Groups). The inquiry will be carried out according to the instructions of the Finnish Advisory Board on Research Integrity (TENK) and aims to survey the validity of new violation allegations. The preliminary inquiry involves experts external to the University, and Laura Huhtasaari will be heard during the inquiry. It is for the benefit of society, the scientific community and researchers to clarify all doubts concerning the validity of research.  The inquiry will take several weeks, at the most three months. The University requests that the inquiry be allowed to proceed without interruptions.
