Student housing

Student housing is available also to researchers if space permits.

Kortepohja Student Village

Kortepohja Student Village is owned by the Student Union of the University of Jyväskylä. Kortepohja, located about 2.5 kilometres from the main campus and the city centre, houses approximately 1,900 students.

Saunas with separate bathing times for men and women are warmed up every night in the Student Village. The Student Village offers all the basic services: there is a small shopping centre, a party room to rent, a piano room and several sports facilities.

Rooms are rented unfurnished.

Central Finland Student Housing Foundation, KOAS

KOAS offers around 3,900 apartments all around the Jyväskylä city area. The apartment buildings are located in the suburbs of Jyväskylä and offer an excellent opportunity to integrate with people outside the University.

The buildings have laundry rooms, saunas and store rooms, as well as hobby rooms. All KOAS apartments have an Internet connection. You need your own computer and a cable (RJ-45 CAT 5 or better) for using the Internet.
