H2020: ERC Advanced Grant 2019 (AdG)

ERC Advanced Grant

ERC Advanced Grants are designed to support excellent Principal Investigators at the career stage at which they are already established research leaders with a recognised track record of research achievements. Applicant Principal Investigators must demonstrate the ground-breaking nature, ambition and feasibility of their scientific proposal.

Advanced Grants may be awarded up to a maximum of EUR 2 500 000 for a period of 5 years.

ERC Advanced Grant Principal Investigators are expected to be active researchers and to have a track record of significant research achievements in the last 10 years which must be presented in the application. A competitive Advanced Grant Principal Investigator must have already shown a record which identifies them as an exceptional leader in terms of originality and significance of their research contributions.

Applications can be made in any field of research.
The ERC's grants operate on a 'bottom-up' basis without predetermined priorities.

ERC grants support projects carried out by an individual researcher who can employ researchers of any nationality as team members.

Proposals are evaluated by selected international peer reviewers who assess them on the basis of excellence as the sole criterion.

JYU has specific support process for the applicants. Please, contact Research and Innovation Services ris@jyu.fi, if you want further information about the available services.
