Experimental Nanophysics and Nanotechnology

The activities of the Experimental Nanophysics and Nanotechnology group are in basic and applied research in the rapidly growing field of nanoscale physics. We have well-established research on basic electrical and thermal transport properties on the sub-micron scale, and also on utilization of these phenomena in sensors and other devices. Our fabrication infrastructure allows us to use sophisticated methods for the development of nanoscale structures for research and also for prototype level device fabrication. For measurement purposes we have good cryogenic equipment and electrically shielded rooms. Our future activities will increasingly include multidisciplinary research on nanotechnology at the molecular level.
