Departmental research clusters and ongoing projects
Hela’s mission is to produce high-quality and significant information through research. The department's focus of research as well as its strengths are dealt with in the Hela's strategy for 2010-2017. The quality of our research is proven by the funding which the department receives from numerous funding bodies and research councils.
Hela participates in two Centers of Excellence (CoE) Programmes funded by the Academy of Finland as well as in one Nordic Center of Excellence Programme. Additionally, the Department heads one research project funded by the European Research Council.
