Credit transfer

Studies at other universities can be attached to the degree in accordance with the credit transfer principles of the Faculty of Humanities. HELA recommends that individual courses completed at other higher education institutions should be entered into the register as “studies completed at other universities” instead of compensating for courses in HELA’s curriculum.

The Language Centre decides upon credit transfer for language and communication studies. Compensation and register matters relating to minor subjects and international studies are conducted at the Faculty Office of the Faculty of Humanities, and Secretary of Registration Tapani Hardén at the Admission and Student Services (building T, 1st floor) is responsible for entering modules completed at other higher education institutions into the register.

Possible special arrangements with regard to individual courses are always agreed upon with the examiner in question.
