Intercultural Communication Minor Programme

Intercultural Communication Minor Programme is a undergraduate level minor consisting of 25 ECTS credits. This programme has replaced the former Intercultural Studies Minor Programme.

As a field of research, Intercultural Communication examines communication in culturally diverse groups, communities and organizations. It also examines the interaction of people with varied cultural background. Intercultural Communication applies theoretical and empirical knowledge to answer the challenges of globalizing and multicultural societies.

Courses in Intercultural Communication Minor Programme are open to all exchange students studying at the University of Jyväskylä. Degree students (Finnish and non-Finnish) at the University of Jyväskylä wishing to study Intercultural Communication as their minor subject must apply for the right to study.
