Call for Abstracts

Call for Abstracts

What to submit:

Abstracts should be no more than 400 words in length and be written in English. Preference will be given to presentations and workshops which relate to our conference theme, but we do encourage new music therapists and/or music therapy students to contribute however they feel inspired. Please specify if the abstract is intended for a paper presentation or a workshop presentation. All abstracts are to be submitted to by December 1, 2017. Those submitting an abstract should avoid referring to their own names within the abstracts, due to the anonymous peer review process that will determine abstract acceptance for the conference. Students may only submit one abstract for paper presentation and/or one abstract for workshop presentation (i.e. a student may present a paper and a workshop, but not two papers or two workshops).

Oral Presentation

Paper presentations will last for a total of 45 minutes, with 35 minutes for the presentation and 10 minutes for discussion/questions.

Workshop Presentation

Workshop presentations will be 1 hour in length. Multiple workshops will occur simultaneously in an open-house/rotating format.
