Peppi Taalas


Peppi Taalas, development manager and vice director in the Language Centre, has expertise in (language) learning technologies, new learning cultures and professional staff development programmes. Her current research interests are learning interaction in virtual environments, change in learning and teaching cultures, teacher roles and attitudes in technology enhanced language learning settings. In this project, Taalas continues her research on the changing teaching and learning practices in language teaching environments by examining the ways in which teachers create and design learning activities that include multimodal aspects of mother tongue and foreign language learning. She is in charge of analysing the Information strategies in the first stage of the project and of carrying out and reporting the interventions in the fourth stage.
