The use of different linguistic and non-linguistic interaction strategies by pupils in oral pair tasks and features that characterize their interaction were examined. The data consisted of spoken Finnish and Swedish test performances of ninth graders in the national achievement tests carried out by the National Board of Education in 2008 and 2009. The researchers were granted personal funding by the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland.
