Participative integration in Finland

The Participative integration in Finland project (2010-2013) was launched in order to holistically promote the integration of immigrants. The project partners were the Ministry of Employment and the Economy, the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Ministry of the Interior, the Finnish Cultural Foundation, the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland, and the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities.

The University of Jyväskylä Centre for Applied Language Studies was in charge of the project’s development plan, which was implemented and further developed in 10 projects (17 municipalities) in 2011-2013. The Centre for Applied Language Studies was also a co-publisher for a report on the results and best practices of the project.

The development plan (in Finnish, including English abstract) as a pdf-document.

Report with practitioners of the sub-projects (in Finnish and Swedish) as a pdf-document.
