Since September 2011, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Finnish Academy Project ‘The Politics of Dissensus’ and a member of the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Political Thought and Conceptual Change, University of Jyväskylä (Finland). Next, I will join the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study, Uppsala as Erik Allardt Research Fellow.


I have taught subject courses on ‘Voting Rights’, ‘Electoral Reforms’ and ‘Electoral Politics’ to intermediate BA and MA students. The title of my PhD thesis was "Democracy's Duty: The History of Political Debates on Compulsory Voting", University of Jyväskylä. During 2008-09, I was a visiting researcher at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, the Hellenic Parliament Library in Athens and various libraries in Paris. I have previously earned MA and BA degrees in history, anthropology and human rights from the University of Copenhagen-EIUC and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Besides Greek and English, I speak German, French and Italian, limited Finnish and passive Spanish.
