My research involves almost all of the main areas of philosophy from a historical perspective. My current research is focused on on ethical aspects of philosophical conceptions of the self. I also aim to deconstruct the so called "hard problem of consciousness" by studying how Cartesian dualism, the separation of the physical from the phenomenal, came into being in the middle ages. In addition, I am trying to understand the nature of logical consequence.
