Funding for doctoral studies

Here is a list of different funding sources for doctoral studies.

1. Research projects

Many doctoral students in the faculty get funding from varying research projects. You may ask about projects from your supervisor.

2. Faculty of Information Technology

The Faculty of Information Technology has a doctoral school that regularly provides funding for doctoral students. It arranges open call for funding applications twice a year (March 31 and September 30). 3. Scholarships

The foundation have typically annual deadline for applications and they usually provide scholarship for a year at a time. The scholarship is about 1600-1900 euros/month and it is regarded as a taxfree benefit. However, there is compulsory pension insurance (200-250 euros/month) that has to be paid.
