Tekes approved funding for the new TIVIT Internet-of-Things program

On 20.01.2012, Tekes has made the positive funding decision for the commencing TIVIT Internet-of-Things (IoT) program. The University of Jyväskylä, together with seven other research institutions and circa 20 industrial partners will actively participate in this program coordinated by Ericsson.

On 20.01.2012, Tekes has made the positive funding decision for the commencing TIVIT Internet-of-Things (IoT) program. The program aims at increasing the expertise of Finnish ICT in the IoT domain and contributing to the IoT vision of living in a world surrounded by tens of billions of devices that interoperate and integrate smoothly with the conventional Internet, provide secure and reliable services, enhance the life of people in healthcare, smart homes, industry automation, and environmental monitoring. The University of Jyväskylä, together with seven other research institutions and circa 20 industrial partners will actively participate in this program coordinated by Ericsson.
