Biography

Ville Salonen is a first-year marketing PhD student with years of working experience in leading positions in digital agencies, his latest title being Head of Business Development. Salonen also holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Communication & PR.

Salonen is a member of a TEKES funded research project, ReDo (Redefining Digital Opportunities). His research concerns applications of (evolutionary) psychological phenomena in digital consumer studies. Some central topics include web personalization and consumer motivation.

Salonen is a published non-fiction author. His first book (together with Petri Toikkanen) Selittävä tekijä - Ihmistietoisuus liiketoiminnassa was published by Docendo in early 2015. Despite his main focus being academic research, Salonen remains actively involved with development of novel business practices.
