Research interest:

My research is about metric geometry of groups, in which one tries to classify groups analysing the possible metric structures compatible with the group multiplication and with the topology. For example, in nilpotent Lie groups such a metric structure is unique and determines the group completely, but this does not hold in the more general setting. In the moment it is unclear to the scientific community if the large scale metric  structure is enough to determine the group uniquely or not.
