Studio Musica

Studio Musica is located in the Department of Music at the University of Jyväskylä. The acoustic design was done by well known studio designer, SAFA architect Anssi Ruusuvuori and the construction work was completed in November 2004. The studio has received an award from Finnish construction engineers and architects union (RIA). The studio consists of different facilities suited for recording and researching music.
The recording facilities are mainly used for teaching music technology and production. The studio has also equipment for teaching video production and multimedia.
Laboratory facilities (including a sound-isolated room) are used for perceptual and behavioral experiments concerning music. These include perception of tonality and emotions in music as well as perception and production of rhythm and movement in music.
Commercial use
The studio can also be used commercially for many kinds of recordings and post-production projects. More information about reservations can be found here.
