Research

  • My project studies alternative splicing (AS) in the gs1l gene and how AS effects cold adaptation of Drosophila montana. AS is important, as it is vital genetic mechanism that allows species to adapt to fast changing environments, such as climate change and could effect the future distributions and survival of many insect species (including pests).
  • Research projects: The role of alternative splicing in adaptation to a changing environment
