Research

  • Research interests: I am interested in microbiomes of cold climate plants. My group investigates the biotic and abiotic factors impacting assembly, structure and function of these communities. Understanding plant-microbe interactions involved in plant growth and stress tolerance in adverse environments is important for science, as well as for development of sustainable agriculture and biotechnology.
  • Why and to whom my research is important
    • My group is interested in endophytic bacterial communities in cold climate plants. We investigate the biotic and abiotic factors impacting assembly, structure and function of these communities. Understanding plant-microbe interactions involved in plant growth and stress tolerance in adverse environments is important for science, as well as for development of sustainable agricultural and biotechnological practices.
