Facilities

Our synthetic laboratories are equipped with custom-designed state-of-the-art Schlenk lines and solvent drying setups, a four-port MBraun UNILab glove box and an MBraun MB-SPS 800 automated solvent purification system. This allows the manipulation of compounds under an inert atmosphere (argon) with strict exclusion of oxygen and water.

Our local computational facilities include a 20 seat Linux classroom for interactive usage and visualization (both 2D and 3D), a home-built 300+ core Linux cluster Europa and a 1000+ core FGCI cluster Puck. We also have direct access to the national supercomputers Sisu and Taito that are maintained by CSC – IT Center for Science Ltd.
