Jyväskylä is the capital of Central Finland, and has some 136 000 inhabitants. City offers the advantages of a small town, without the drawbacks of a big city. Comfort and safety characterise the city, as well as short distances. The city centrum is located within walking distance in the city centre – and all this next to a lake.

The University of Jyväskylä ranks amongst the best research universities worldwide and is located in Central Finland, the Land of Thousand Lakes, where nature and personal security are amongst our most highly valued assets. Bachelor's Degree

Bachelor's Degrees at the Faculty of Mathematics and Science are delivered in Finnish language only. In order to be able to study at an undergraduate level, an applicant must be fluent in Finnish.

Master's Degree

All students accepted to the Faculty of Mathematics and Science for Bachelor degree have a right to study Master's degree in the same major or subject. Those who have graduated as a Bachelor elsewhere can apply for right to study master degree in each major subject of the faculty. The following Master's degree programmes are fully delivered in English:
