Research

  • Why and to whom my research is important
    • My group investigates, by computational methods, electronic, optical, magnetic, chemical and catalytic properties of bare, supported, and ligand-protected metal nanoparticles, molecule-metal interfaces in nanostructures and structural and chemical properties of metal nanoparticle / virus hybrids. I am an Academy Professor for 2016-2020 and serve as the Scientific Director of JYU Nanoscience Center
