Teaching

  • Fundamental nuclear physics (FYSS3300)
  • Lasers and traps in nuclear physics studies (FYSS3552)
  • Techniques for nuclear and accelerator-based physics experiments (FYSN550)

Research

  • Why and to whom my research is important
    • Nuclear physics, atomic physics, laser physics, radioactive ion beam manipulation. My research involves lasers to study the fundamental structure of nuclei (sizes, shapes, spins and electromagnetic properties). We also couple lasers with traps to probe nuclear-atomic effects. I am involved in international efforts to discover a new standard of time using lasers and a unique nuclear transition.
