Teaching

  •  I teach experimental methods in several levels, from basic techniques to advantaged ones. Related to my research, I have nuclear physics and in particular nuclear fission courses. And because physics is great fun and it is everywhere, I have course on physics in daily life, which is on the level suitable for anyone.

Research

  • Why and to whom my research is important
    • My research interest is the exotic nuclei, that is, nuclei located far from the stable isotopes. In particular, I study experimentally the very neutron rich nuclei that are important to understand the astrophysical process of the formation of the heavy elements, as well as nuclear reactors. These studies take place in the IGISOL home laboratory in JYFL and in international FAIR facility.
