The texts are based on Taru Sillanpää’s Master’s thesis: ”Unohdetut kuvataulut – 1900-luvun alun luonnotieteen kuvataulut ja nykyinen oppimiskäsitys.” (Roughly translated as: “Forgotten pictures – pictures used in teaching the natural sciences in the early 20th century and modern ideas about learning”) (University of Jyväskylä 1996). The pictures are from the collections of Jyväskylä University Museum.
