Research Interests

Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience groups consist of tightly linked research infrastructure. We explore brain function from the whole-brain level to single molecules. We conduct EEG and eye-tracking experiments ranging in topic from dyslexia to depression as well as basic research focusing on primitive sensory intelligence, learning and memory formation and the role of physical activity in brain health. The newly established Jyväskylä Interdiciplinary Brain Research Centre will support ongoing research in these existing groups. In addition to basic knowledge on brain function our research produces new insight into brain-related disorders such as reading and memory difficulties and their interventions.
