I am a doctoral researcher in quantum information technology education. I earned my master's degree from the University of Turku in 2023. My thesis focused on how elementary quantum mechanics can be made visual and more concrete with help of simulations. From 2017 to 2020 I worked part-time as a programmer in the software industry. I gradually shifted toward education, teaching part-time from 2020 to 2021 and full-time from 2021 to 2023 at lower secondary level (grades 7–9), while finishing my last master's courses. In 2023–2025 I held a permanent teaching position at an upper secondary school before moving into the data-driven development of quantum education as part of a doctoral pilot programme.
Tutkimuskuvaus
I am interested in the data-driven development of quantum information technology education, with the focus of applying learning analytics and educational data mining methods to understand how students learn quantum concepts and how simulations and other tools can best support that learning.
