Shehu Abubakar is an experienced ICT professional with over 15 years of working experience as an ICT manager, specializing in Information Systems and Cybersecurity. He is a member of several professional bodies, including the Computer Professionals of Nigeria (CPN), the Nigerian Computer Society (NCS), the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2), and the Internet Society (ISOC). He is a graduate of B.Sc. Information Technology (KSUSTA), M.Sc. Information Technology Management (Cardiff University, UK) and a doctoral student of Information Technology at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland.
His research interests include human perspectives on cybersecurity, information security in critical infrastructure, especially as it relates to information systems management, cybersecurity education, risk management in information systems, etc.

Shehu Abubakar has engineered and managed several ICT projects in the areas of Networking, Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, ICT Consultancy Services/Training, and Software Development. He has a strong background in Project Management, Product Management, and IT Service Management. He is currently the Chief Consultant of Shehubk ICT Professionals Limited and Director of ICT Federal University Birnin Kebbi Nigeria.
His research interests include human-factor-related cybersecurity, information security in critical infrastructure, especially anomaly detection in operational technology, cybersecurity education, and risk management in information systems.
