Fysiikan alan harjoittelupaikkoja vuonna 2026 / Physics summer traineeship positions 2026

  • European Space Agency ESA's traineeship positions. Application period opens in November and closes around Mid-December.
  • Helsinki Institute of Physics' summer traineeship positions at  CERN and ESRF (2 positions @CERN and 1 @ESRF reserved for JYU students). Deadline for applications 26.1.2026.
  • The CERN Summer Student Programme 2026.Deadline for applications and referee confirmation is 26.1.2026 (at 23.59 CET).
  • The CERN OpenLab summer student programme 2026. Deadline for applications and referee confirmation is 26.1.2026 (at 23.59 CET).
  • The CERN Technical Student Programme. Deadline for applications 23.2.2026. Applications reviewed three times per year, in February, June and October.  
  • Technical Students for Next Generation Trigger Project 2026. Deadline for applications is 26.1.2026 (at 23.59 CET).
  • IMEC, the world-leading R&D and innovation hub in nanoelectronics and digital technologies, Belgium. 
    Physics students have a chance to do a 6 month internship at IMEC, Belgium. A project on nanocharacterization or nanofabrication will be appointed for the student and the project should be completed during the internship. Ideally the project report can be accepted as research report at the Department of Physics, and the project could also form the basis of the master's thesis. The internship positions at IMEC are aimed at students who have already advanced in their studies. IMEC will pay approximately 700 euros /month as a grant and in addition it is possible to apply for an Erasmus internship grant for extra financial support. For more information please contact: prof.   • Säteilyturvakeskus(STUK) palkkaa yleensä joka vuosi korkeakouluharjoittelijoita. Sopiviin paikkoihin STUKissa voi hakea laitoksen harjoittelutukea. STUK ilmoittaa paikkansa sivustolla https://valtiolle.fi/.
  • Valtion Teknillisen Tutkimuskeskuksen eli VTT:n avoimet työpaikat / VTT open positions and student talent pool. 
    VTT palkkaa yleensä joka vuosi korkeakouluharjoittelijoita. Sopiviin tehtäviin VTT:llä voi hakea laitoksen harjoittelutukea. 
    VTT usually hires university interns every year. For suitable positions at VTT, students can apply for the department's internship subsidy.
  • Tieteen tietotekniikan keskus eli CSC:n kesäharjoittelupaikat / CSC - IT Center for Science, Summer Trainee positions. Are you passionate about cutting-edge technology and eager to do meaningful work for the digitalization of Finnish society? Application period for our Summer Trainee positions opens in mid-January. For suitable positions at CSC, students can apply for the department's internship subsidy.
  • Ilmatieteenlaitoksen, Geologian tutkimuskeskuksen, Maanmittauslaitoksen, Luonnonvarakeskuksen, Ympäristökeskuksen ym. avoimet työ- ja harjoittelupaikat löytyvät sivustolta www.valtiolle.fi. Sopiviin tehtäviin ym. organisaatioissa voi hakea laitoksen harjoittelutukea.
