Professor Robert Barta is a historian, and the Director of the Institute of History and Head of the Modern World History Department at University of Debrecen, Hungary. His research fields are the history of international relations, cold war history, British-Hungarian relations in the 20th century and the Horthy Era. He was a postgraduate and visiting scholar at the University of Oxford (St. Antony’s College, Oriel College) and at the University of Cambridge (Darwin College). His main publications include: The Illustrated History of Two World Wars (2010), The Stateman and the World Citizen. Winston Churchill and Emery Reves (2013), History of International Relations (2020) and In the Attractions of Hungarians. Selected Speeches and Writings of Carlile Aylmer Macartney (2021).
