The same universities are involved in these cooperation networks as in the SARAVE project, which are University of Helsinki, University of Eastern Finland, University of Jyväskylä, University of Oulu, Tampere University, University of Turku, Åbo Akademi University.
What should you know about the processing of your personal data?
The University of Jyväskylä collects personal data about you to carry out its duties. You have rights to this data, such as the right to access the data and the right to be sure that it is stored securely and only for the necessary time. Above all, you have the right to know the following:
- what information we collect about you and why,
- for how long, and where we keep this information, and
- to whom we share this information.
All of these points are explained in this privacy statement.
How to find the information you are looking for?
We have created this privacy notice to be as easy as possible to use and understand. That is why you will find the key points summarised under each section. If you are interested in knowing more, please follow the links in the sections or contact the data protection officer of the University of Jyväskylä.
Why we process your personal data?
We process your personal data to collect feedback on cross-institutional studies within the German Studies Network, French Studies Network and Russian Language Studies Network. We ask for feedback from students and teaching staff.
The purpose of processing the data is to develop cross-institutional studies within the German, French and Russian networks.
Anonymized results will be shared with the universities participating in the SARAVE project (University of Helsinki, University of Eastern Finland, University of Jyväskylä, University of Oulu, Tampere University, University of Turku, Åbo Akademi University).
What data we process and how long?
Feedback on cross-institutional studies is collected through an electronic survey. An invitation to participate in this survey is sent to the email lists of all German, French and Russian students in the universities which participate in the SARAVE project, as well as to the internal SARAVE project email list. This feedback will be used to develop cross-institutional studies within the German Studies Network, the French Studies Network and the Russian Language Studies Network.
We do not ask for any direct identifying information from students or teaching staff. However, since the feedback is related to a particular course offered as part of cross-institutional studies, the responses may identify individual students who participated in the course, or the teacher who was responsible for the course. Also, responses for open questions may contain identifying information.
Your personal data will be destroyed by 9 August 2026 at the latest. Based on the responses for the survey, an anonymised report will be compiled for use by universities in developing cross-institutional studies.
