There were also two kinds of picture collections for Botany: the botanical ones and the ones showing the anatomy of plants. An example of the first type was Botanical Pictures by Otava. An example of the second type was A Picture Series of Botanical Anatomy by Valistus. The Otava collection also depicted some anatomical and structural qualities even though their main goal was to help with the identification of plants.
