As a Senior Lecturer in Bilingual and Multilingual Teaching I coordinate the JULIET programme specialising in foreign language education and lead a research group focusing on bilingual teaching. I teach courses as part of the JULIET programme, as well as courses on Dialogism and Education, Comparative Pedagogy and Specialised Qualitative Research methods. I supervise Master's thesis research and a number of doctoral researchers and currently act as the PI for a smallscale project focusing on the sustainable development of bilingual teaching in teacher education. My research interests include the role of language in education, theorisations of education and teacher development.
Tutkimuskuvaus
Josephine's areas of interest include pre- and in-service teacher development, the role of language and culture in education and different forms of pedagogical development. Josephine is particularly interested in the use and development of dialogic theorisations and methodological approaches to education and research in education, as well as comparative approaches to educational research.
