Master's applicants: How to prove your English skills 2026

Information on proving your English proficiency for our
International Master's Degree Programmes.

At the time of applying, you must demonstrate that you meet the programme's language requirement. Whether you are required to take a language test depends on the country in which you completed your previous education and its language of instruction. 

If you have studied in English previously, please first see the section Previous studies to check if you are exempted from taking a language test.

If none apply to you, please see the approved language tests and the minimum score requirements. Some programmes also accept GMAT/GRE as proof.

Please note that the following master's programmes use the Academic Readiness Screening (ACRES) to evaluate your English skills, and this web page does not apply to them:

Previous studies

Language tests

If you are not exempted from taking a language test based on your prior education, please book and take your test as soon as possible.

You must upload your test report form to your application by 28 January 2026 at 3:00 p.m. (UTC+2). We do not consider late attachments.

Your test result must be valid at least until the end date of the application period (21 January 2026). If the test result is released after the end date of the application period, it needs to be released by and valid on the deadline date for submitting attachments (28 January 2026 3:00 p.m. UTC+2 at the latest).

We will verify all results from the test organiser.

GMAT/ GRE results

Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Records Examination (GRE) results can be used as a means for proving language proficiency in the following master's programmes:
